Hello! I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in premarital therapy as well as couples therapy focusing on issues of intimacy, communication, and infidelity. I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety or processing through life transitions. My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University as well as post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy with a faith sensitive focus.
My graduate research focused on discrepant sexual desire – or when one spouse wants to get busy while the other would rather opt out. In spite of how frequently this occurs, many couples experiencing mismatching sex drives can feel broken, frustrated, and alone. Therapy can help couples regain a satisfying level of intimacy – both physical and emotional.
My approach is non-judgmental and supportive. Many of the couples and individuals I work with benefit from homework and handouts reinforcing concepts discussed in session. For others, traditional talk therapy with a neutral sounding board is preferred.
Sarah began dating her husband 17 years ago and plans to continue for the next 70. Together they have 3 children and enjoy hiking, biking, and eating Crumbl cookies (if you know, you know).
